   I’m black. And I hate racist comments on TV. I don’t like Fox and I hate O’Reilly. But the more I listen to Nas, the more I see that there is a hypocrisy in his arguments.

   • When asked about Fox news being racist his response was only about O’Reilly making me think this was more of a personal grudge therefore hurting his arguments credibility.

   • He is essentially angry about racially irresponsible comments on TV right. But yet he wants to call his album nigger. And he believes because he is black and grew up around the word. Its OK for him to say? Uh Nas I think you are perpetuating stereotypes by deepening the divide. The whole point of not being racist is recognizing that we are all the same and deserve the same opportunities, no matter where we come from.

   • He is counteracting the words of others by doing a formal petition. There are plenty of rap lyrics I disagree with and bother me greatly, how should I fight that. I doubt a petition would work.

   • I don’t think you need to destroy to rebuild.

   • If your scheduled program of songs were inappropriate during a sensitive time. I could understand why you were not chosen to perform at the event. I think your just mad cause you lost the gig and are now trying to save face.

   • Complaining so publicly about Fox makes them more popular. Free publicity!

   • Lastly the song you performed on Conan was wack. So rambly it sounded like a freestyle. I don’t think the bass line changed. No harmonic key changes. Sounded like an 8 measure loop I could make in 20 mins in garage band. Predictable phrases, I expected to hear. (Unplugged, think outside the box) As a piece of music…seriously lacking!

   Blacks need to stop whining about racism, its here on this earth, its never going away, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it. Hate and violence is a part of nature and it will always be with us, yeah it would be cool to all live in peace, but that shit only happens in fairytale land. So do us all a favor and get the fuck over it, racism is here to stay, the faster you can accept that the better off you’ll be.

   Ok first off i will admit Nas does kinda suck now. But artists should be judged by their entire body of work, and Nas’ first album is considered to be one of the greatest hip hop albums ever( obviously that’s an opinion, but one that seems to be shared by the entire underground hip hop community, you know the kind of hip hop that has concious lyrics, no Nelly’s or Lil Jon’s here). Second how retarded to say to just accept the way things are. The only constant is change, and if you just accept and lie down, then nothing will ever get done. On both sides of the argument there are good points, but i think an even better point is that obviously everyone has an opinion, and everyone, no matter what they say, will eventually be a hypocrite in some shape way or form. I also believe he has a personal vendetta, but to say that he shouldn’t say anything about it, well that’s just un-american, and unfair. Bill O’ Reilly got his shot a few years back when he talked about the rap industry, and the supposed damage that it was doing to society, not just a people or certain age group or certain “class”, but society. That’s pathetic to ever think that anyone’s word’s could have so much affect that it ruins the society, but then again Hitler was an asshole and that’s how he did it, there you go a contradiction. I guess i am human after all, and so is everyone on this blog, and i think sometimes that is forgotten. Ok I’m done.

   To say ‘accept it’…ok, if you are European, I will give you a pass but if you are American, well, just ‘accepting it’ is contrary to everything we hold dear. And it down right disgusts me to think that people actually think like this.

   Its precisely why organizations like Fox are able to flourish, because far too may people are lazy louts just like Ryan. Please go sit in your room and tell yourself you can’t do anything so that you can get out of the way of people who are making a difference in this world.

   Nas petitioning Fox? If it opens one kid’s eyes to the reality of Fox and makes them actually use their brain for two seconds…even if they come out in support of the propogandists…it is never, ever a bad thing to initiatie thought and conversation. Never.

    racism preaching the gospel is devilish. Racism is blaming others for your problems, your short comings, and your place on this earth. If your racist you only look for “positive reinforcement” to support the way you feel.. You never take initiative to learn the others perspective because of hate. Hate leads to violence, which if you believe is the answer. YOU are the type of person responsible for misery on this earth.

    Ryan, you say the world is racist.. Some parts are, most at this point are much less then America is. White and black have a large cultural divide, but we all have more in common then the cowboy neocons running our government, our media and your brains. If you are racist, you are because you want to be or because you haven’t been taught a different perceptions. No person is evil, just corrupt. Few cultures are corrupt, and most within it have the SAME VALUES AS YOU. life, peace, hard work, family, security, community. Enemies are made through propaganda (like fox), misunderstanding, and feuding. Dont let mob rule and popular thought control you.

    If you disagree with my perception, just think for a Minuit. what would the world be like if this is what media taught?
